Lighting of the Edgartown Lighthouse
A time honored tradition, Edgartown’s version of a tree lighting is full of seaside village charm. Thank you to the MV Museum for the annual holiday lighting of the Edgartown Lighthouse, which takes place at 6pm sharp.
Come celebrate with us at Memorial Wharf for a great viewing spot and countdown! Beginning at 5:30 PM Edgartown’s favorite mascots, non-profit concessions by the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club, caroling, give-aways and maybe the Man In Red himself! This fun event is brought to you by the Edgartown Board of Trade.
If you wish to watch the lighting from the Harbor View Hotel, you must make reservations with Bettini Restaurant.
Holiday Faire in the Edgartown Village Green
Brought to you by the Edgartown Village Market, the Holiday Faire is back and right in the heart of our downtown winter wonderland. Make s'no mistake, this is an absolute must-do event! Join us in the Village Green to shop one-of-a-kind artisanal goods from over 30 local vendors in this European-style Christmas market complete with hot cocoa, treats, and entertainment for the whole family. Warm up in the tented beer garden while listening to live music and enjoying an array of seasonal food and drinks. Libations will be available for purchase to benefit local non-profits.

Winter Beach Clean Up with Friends of Sengekontacket
We invite you to bring along your friends, family, and neighbors from the island for our yearly Winter Beach Clean Up at Sengekontacket Pond and its barrier beach. Friends of Sengekontacket will provide gloves, bags, hot chocolate, donuts, and complimentary Santa hats for all volunteers! Just remember to wear a warm coat and your walking shoes!
State Beach is in need of your assistance to clear away beach debris that has washed ashore, as well as various trash that has blown out of vehicles along our fragile shoreline.
Please check in at Little Bridge between 8am and 9am to receive your designated area, and make sure to return your bag to Little Bridge by 9:30am. Please email chick@islandspiritkayak.com with your questions.
Holiday Hustle 5K
The Edgartown School PTA is excited to be hosting the "Holiday Hustle" as part of the Christmas in Edgartown festivities! All ages and levels are encouraged to run or walk this 5K course that weaves through festive downtown Edgartown. We encourage you to show your holiday spirit by wearing holiday attire- bells/santa hats will be given out. Dogs and strollers are welcome!
The pre-race day cost $25.00 for adults and $15.00 for kids 0-12. Day of registration is $30.00 for adults and $20.00 for kids. Day of registration will take place at the Edgartown School on Sunday, December 14 from 7:00-7:45 am. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged! Open House at Morning Glory Farm
Morning Glory Farm will be hosting our annual Open House at the Farm from 12-3pm.
There will be hayrides in our fields, make your own s'mores by the firepit, lot's of eggnog, light refreshments, appetizers including fresh vegetables from our farm paired with housemade dips and local cheese and fruits.
Our kitchen is highlighting our very own corn chowder this year and our bakery will have Christmas treats including Bushe de Noel. Raffles and more.

Annual Santa Fun Run & Walk with Amity Island Running Club
Please join us for a walk or run (distance and pace of your choice) to kick off Christmas in Edgartown weekend! Santa hats and beards will be provided, but feel free to wear any of your own festive wear! There will be a "Most Festive" costume prize awarded. **Reflective gear and headlamps are required!**
A $10 donation is suggested. Amity Island Running Club will be making a donation to the Island Food Pantry. The Amity Island Running Club is a running group on Martha's Vineyard - Everyone welcome!
Horse Drawn Carriage Rides
Harbor View Hotel and the Edgartown Board of Trade offer a $150 promotional rate for horse-drawn carriage rides during Christmas in Edgartown. This will include a 30-minute private ride starting at Harbor View Hotel and around Edgartown in a festive horse-drawn carriage. The carriage ride will take you by beautifully decorated homes, picturesque meadows overlooking the ocean, Eel Pond, historic Edgartown village dressed in garland and bows, and Edgartown Harbor. Cozy up with hot cider and a warm throw during this festive time of year.
Price per carriage ride is $150 for up to six people.

Winter Wag Walk with Al Fresco Tails
Join us for the Winter Wag Walk, a festive guided or self-guided stroll along the scenic North Water Street, beautifully decorated for the holidays! The walking group will depart at 11:30 AM, so bring your furry friends and enjoy fun activity stops and photo ops along the way. Delight in holiday-themed treats for both pups and their owners. The walk begins at the Mini Park and will end at the Edgartown Lighthouse.
Free for all ages - Dogs are welcome! Holiday cheer and costumes are encouraged! Celebrate the spirit of the season with your family and pets!

Please bring your friends, family and island neighbors to the annual Winter Beach Clean Up along Sengekontacket Pond and its barrier beach. Friends of Sengekontacket will be supplying gloves, bags, hot chocolate and donuts! Free Santa hat for first 25 volunteers! Come with a warm coat and and walking shoes.
State Beach and it’s delicate shore needs your help! Please check in at Little Bridge for an area to cover and return your bag to Little Bridge when complete! We will be ready for you to arrive anytime between 9am - 11am.

Holiday Dog Show with Al Fresco Tails
Dress your for four-legged friend for the Holiday Dog Show! Stop by the Mini Park from 11 am - 1 pm on Sunday to enter your pal, take a photo, and continue on your merry way. Winner will be selected and announced later in the day on Visit Edgartown’s social media. Sparkle, shine, costumes and cheer are strongly recommended.

Illuminate Mytoi
As we near the shortest and darkest day of the year, it is helpful to remember the warm, inner hearth that nurtures us through the year. In honor of the holiday season, we invite you to join us in gathering at Mytoi on Chappaquiddick. On this self-guided walk, explore the luminary-lit garden and reflect on your year since the last solstice. Share a wish or hope for the coming year, and tie your message to the winding bridge to share with others. Hot cocoa will be served throughout the event. Member and non-member pricing available. Free van pick-up available on the half hour from the Chappy side of the Chappy ferry.

Pelican Club Christmas
The Pelican Club returns for an exclusive, limited time engagement to celebrate the 42nd Annual Christmas In Edgartown! Located at Faraway Martha's Vineyard, get in the holiday spirit and stroll through the Pelican Club for cocktails and cheer before the official lighting of the Edgartown Lighthouse.
