Walking tour focusing on Edgartown’s history embracing the stories of enslavement and fugitives. Visit the church where Frederick Douglass exhorted the people of Edgartown to resist the Fugitive Slave Act and the Courthouse honoring Superior Court Judge Herbert A Tucker. The tour culminates at Memorial wharf where you will be blessed or cursed by Wise Woman Nancy Michael.

Meet at the Old Whaling Church at 11am, Friday and Sunday.
